Jordy Loves the Dog Park!

Jordan adores going to the fenced in dog parks. Look at his happy smile. He loves to run and run. Tonight a bunch of migrating swallows drove him crazy. Everywhere he pointed there was a bird!

He's Never Met a Dog He Doesn't Like

Jordy loves people, but he also loves other dogs. This boy gets along with everyone! On the left, he's relaxing at his foster home with foster sibs. On the right, he's at the dog park at dusk, playing with a boxer and boston terrier.

Oh, Man the Packers Lost!

These boys delayed their bedtime in order to watch the Packers play Dallas. What a loss! Here they are with their tiny toy football, exhausted from rooting for the pack (Jordan in back).

Hmm, a New Kind of Leash

Jordan is trying out the gentle leader. It goes around his nose and helps keep him from pulling. He thinks it's kind of wierd, but he loves getting pieces of hot dogs for putting up with it.

Jordan Learns to Walk on a Leash

Jordan is learning to walk on a leash. He's clearly been hunting before. Pacing from side to side is great for scanning for birds, but it tends to trip humans. It's also kinda hard on the other dogs walking with him. Jordan is learning to walk straight between his foster sibs. Here he is, banging into Duncan first, then Abby. They patiently put up with his antics, knowing he'll get it soon.

Voila, by the end of the walk, the three amigos are moving straight ahead.

The end of another good day

Jordan has settled in a little more. He's still a little skinny from his successful heartworm treatment, but we're working to put a little weight on him. He's a good eater and is very happy to get treats. He played with former IBR Duncan a lot today, and wore himself out. Here's Jordan, so tired his head and paws droop over the chair. This is the first night he's felt comfortable getting on the chair, so he's starting to feel more relaxed in his new setting.

Are you the person for me?

Jordan is dreaming of his forever home.

Everything about this boy is gentle and calm. He likes to be in the same room as his people, but he doesn't demand attention. That doesn't mean some nice petting isn't welcome! And even if he's sound asleep, if you say his name or talk to him, he thumps his adorable, turned-up tail.

Jordan and his new foster brother

Duncan, Jordan's new foster brother, wasn't quite sure he wanted to share his home with another English setter, even if Jordan promised not to stay long. Duncan the drama-dog asks, "Why did you bring this thing into my nice home?!"
Charming Jordan won Duncan over in a day. Here they are, snoozing side-by-side. Jordan and Duncan like to play sweetly in the backyard. Jordan respects the chain link fence and Duncan and Jordan even take turns sharing bones with no squabbling. Jordan likes to quietly watch the neighborhood kids play on the swingsets in all the other yards. Screaming kids don't faze him at all. He might like them to come join him, though!

Jordan and the Bees

With his happy smiles and cheerful personality, Jordan's life philosophy is BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED. Oh, yeah, and stop to smell the roses, and pick the daisies!

Mr. Jordan decided to go on an unauthorized exploration of the garden today. He seemed to be watching fairies, but they were just bumble bees. He watched them fly all around, then delicately tried to eat them. He must not have caught any, because he never lost his smile. Maybe you can train him to eat Japanese beetles. Or to weed?

Jordan arrives at his new foster home

Jordan is a cheerful boy. If he's offered, he likes to play with a pillow or toy, but he's all gentleman: no chewing and no barking, just lots of tail wagging and happy smiles.

Jordan's first foster mom helped him get all healthy, then he was off to his next, and last last foster home. He's ready to go to his forever home!
Jordan is one gentle, amiable lad who enjoys a nice snooze on the couch.

He's quickly settled into his new foster home routine. His first foster mom helped him learn all the rules for being a good dog. He gets along beautifully with other dogs. He's very well-behaved. No jumping, no counter-surfing. He knows sit and come. Excellent potty-training and no marking! He's happy to see his people come home, but he's fine and can be trusted while they are at work.

Want to meet one of the happiest boys in the world?

Yes, sweet Jordan is exactly that. Happy, happy, happy!
Especially now that he's completed his heartworm and Lymes disease treatments, he's got plenty to smile about.
Jordan LOVES his yard time now, that he's not having to be kept quiet in the crate anymore.

...and after he's done outside... ...he settles in nicely inside.

Jordan save!

Jordan was in danger to be euthanized at the Scottsburg, IN shelter he was at.
IBR was able to pull him out just in time. However, he had to go into temp foster care for a little while, as a foster home had to be found for him. Poor Jordan is Heartworm Positive and is undergoing treatment right now. He will move into regular foster care after that and more information will become available shortly.
